YOGA
The ancient science of yoga involves all aspects of the personality: body, mind, emotions and spirit. The aim of yoga is to develop self awareness and experience relaxation. On a deeper level one can experience unity, harmony and oneness. Yoga provides the necessary tools to live a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Bihar Yoga / Satyananda Yoga teaches traditional yoga practices, techniques and disciplines for overall health, happiness and wellbeing. Yoga is a lifestyle. Living yoga means to express full potential in life.
There are different branches of yoga to suit different personality types. Bihar Yoga / Satyananda Yoga incorporates classical Tantric and Vedantic philosophies with major branches of yoga including: Hatha Yoga (asana, pranayama & cleansing techniques), Karma Yoga (service / work with complete awareness), Bhakti Yoga (yoga of the heart and emotion) Raja Yoga (meditation), Mantra Yoga (sound and vibrations), Jnana Yoga (Self inquiry) & Kundalini Yoga (purifying psychic centers).
